Regarding wookie/e, I have seen it spelled out both ways enough that I consider it a matter of preference. If I went with the two e’s I’d still type only one most of the time.

BTW, I saw your better half’s Simon Pegg interview. While I think “Shaun of the Dead” is way overrated, I blame it on zombie-movie fans that think this is the holy grail of spoof movies. Then again, for a time I overrated “Don’t Be A Menace To South Central…” for the same reason in the hood-movie genre.

Simon’s “SOTD” character actually reminds me of one of my groomsmen, who’s also a zombie fan.

I’ll purchase animal shelter supplies, toys for toy drives, household items for foster children soon to become adults, food for a local church fundraiser and toiltery/recreational items for military care-packages before ever writing out a check.

But of course for every situation like this where someone calls in to complain about a bus driver for no reason other than he slowed down the motorist’s work commute, there are situations like mine.

Regarding the phone conversation, I was a lot calmer. However, I did make a few cracks at the end about how I knew nothing was going to happen because he’s in a union and that these menaces will get away with anything until they kill someone. And even then they’ll be suspended with pay.

Anyhow, a couple of years ago when I was going out to my mailbox, I witnessed an incident similar to yours. The sign was flashing and there were this line of cars slowly obeying the 15 mph law.(Often a State Cop Car will sit across from a local business right across from the area to make sure the speed limit is being followed, so it’s in your best interests to heed the law anyhow.) Apparently, this was too much for this one asshole to take, so he broke away from the other cars to pass them all while blaring his horn. But one of the cars following the speed limit in the aforementioned line was an unmarked police car, who immediatley pulled this guy over. 2 guys got out in suits,(I’m guessing detectives, no less), with the one cop cleary screaming at the asshole at the top of his lungs.

Needless to say, I was probably laughing as hard as you were in your above story, if not harder…
